The Baby Bandana Bib is a perfect beginner pattern. It is a simple and quick sew that importantly requires only a standard sewing machine. The bib can be made from a wide range of fabrics, both woven and knit. It fastens with either hook and loop tape (Velcro) or snaps. The sizing is flexible but will fit most babies from birth to around 12 months. There are also instructions to help you sew a bib for an older baby.
Recommended Fabric: You can use a wide variety of fabrics to make bibs. Great choices include cotton/bamboo velour, brushed cotton, quilting cotton and cotton/bamboo fleece. You can use the same fabric for both layers or use a thinner fabric for the top and thicker fabric for the underneath.
